The Best Anti-Aging Creams Aren’t Necessarily the Most Expensive

You hear a lot on TV about celebrities and their battles to halt the effects of aging. Just thinking about some of the procedures they put themselves through in order to stay looking young is enough to make you feel queasy. Even the thought of Botox injections, which are touted as a safe, non-surgical method of erasing wrinkles, sound painful. And if you’ve ever seen one of the shows that let’s you watch while someone undergoes a facelift… I just know I’m never going to let anyone do that to my face. Of course, I don’t want to look older any more than you do, which is why I like to find the best anti-aging creams on the market without spending a fortune to do so.

It really doesn’t matter to me that anti-aging creams don’t really make the wrinkles go away. As long as they make the wrinkles look less pronounced and keep my skin looking fresh and smooth, that’s all I ask. Most of the creams you can find that are sold over the counter do have principles that make them good for your skin. An excellent moisturizer will do wonders by keeping facial tissues hydrated. A moisturizer needs to be light enough to be able to penetrate down through the layers of skin in order to plump up the tissues, taking up the slack that becomes wrinkles. I’ve found that some of the best anti-aging creams available are nothing more than moisturizers.

I attended a Mary Kay Cosmetics party when I was 22 years old, and the salesperson at that party gave me some of the best advice I’ve ever been given. She told me that no pme should ever leave their skin totally bare. Instead, she advised me to keep some type of moisturizing cream on my skin at all times. Being young and impressionable, I took her advice, and I’ve now had moisturizer on my face at all times for 35 years. Has it made a difference? I really believe it has when I look around at others in my age group who have lots of wrinkles, deep crow’s feet, and lines around their mouths. I don’t have any of those things yet, and I count myself very lucky.

I haven’t always used the same moisturizer over the years, but I have used several different ones that I consider the best anti-aging creams. Finding one isn’t as hard as it might seem. You can research the different creams and ingredients that are in them, you can watch demonstrations on infomercials, or you can choose a cream made by a company you both know and trust. If you like the way the cream feels when it’s on your face, and you like the way your skin feels when you use it, then you’ve hit on a cream that’s right for you. Since they all work in about the same way, the job of choosing isn’t really as difficult as it might have seemed at first.

Needless to say, the creams I’ve always used haven’t been the most expensive ones on the market. The commercials may tell you that you’re worth spending extra bucks on, but why do it if you don’t have to? Cosmetics companies have a way of jacking up prices by making the buying public think that a higher price makes for a better product. With many items, this may be true, but not with anti-wrinkle creams. Many of the best anti-aging creams you can buy are the least expensive ones.
